The Kanagawa Science Park (KSP) is easy to access and located approximately 20 minutes from central Tokyo. KSP is located in an area in which a number of sophisticated companies and research institutes are highly concentrated. KSP is Japan's first urban science park and one of Japan's largest, employing approximately 4,500 persons on a site area of approximately 55,000 m2.

KSP, Inc. is the core business entity responsible for operating the Kanagawa Science Park. In collaboration with the Kanagawa Academy of Science and Technology (KAST), which is a judicial foundation actively endeavoring to create new technologies, universities, and venture support organizations, KSP has been actively involved in sponsoring workshops, seminars, and business networking events, as well as disseminating the latest business technology information and academic information. In essence, KSP has become a base station for disseminating knowledge and information to support the creation of new industries. In addition, KSP has developed a network of science parks at home and abroad in an effort to further its contribution to business growth and prosperity.

At KSP, a number of companies specialized in the fields of biotechnology, information technology (IT), electronics, and mechatronics have been engaged in the research and development of advanced technologies. Highly sophisticated research and development (R&D) environment is easily accessible, approximately 20 minutes from central Tokyo and approximately 35 minutes from Yokohama.

KSP is well equipped with highly sophisticated R&D facilities, and a number of R&D divisions of leading Japanese companies and foreign companies in Japan reside here as tenants. KSP is characterized by its high level of convenience: it has ample facilities capable of fully satisfying a variety of R&D requirements and is located approximately 20 minutes from central Tokyo. Innovation Center Building, West Wing

The West Wing is a 10-story building that serves as the main entrance to the entire KSP complex. The building houses a post office, automatic teller machines (ATMs), bookstore, convenience stores, a variety of restaurants, and the Hotel KSP, which is a lodging facility that also offers food catering services. This building creates an open urban space and becomes an ideal resting place for businesspersons. In addition, the building contains the KSP Hall, for holding international conferences or symposiums, as well as rental meeting rooms best suited for a variety of seminars and conferences. Many different styles and sizes of office space are available for startup venture companies.

Innovation Center Building, East Wing

The East Wing is a six-story building that meets research laboratory specifications. The floor weight capacity is 500 kg/m2 (1,000 kg/m2 on the 1st and 2nd floors), which allows for the installation of heavy machines and equipment. The building is also equipped with water supply/wastewater drainage and air supply/air exhaust facilities.

R&D Business Park Building (R&D Wing)

The R&D Wing is a 12-story building, a large multi-tenant building, which is leased as research facilities and for other uses. The building has an atrium with a vaulted ceiling in the center, and its building construction is such that it can flexibly meet the needs of research conducted by the tenants in an open-plan environment.
